Photography is part of how I report. These images were made in the field while covering conflict and humanitarian crises in Iraqi Kurdistan and Syria — stills gathered alongside written and broadcast work, not as a separate discipline.

These images were gathered on assignment in Iraqi Kurdistan and Syria between 2015 and 2016, during reporting on the Yazidi refugee crisis and the fight against ISIS. Photography is a routine part of how I cover stories in the field — documenting the people and situations I am there to report on, alongside written dispatches and broadcast material.
I have experience working alongside international photography and camera teams in hostile environments, and can provide fixing, logistical support and local coordination for visual journalists and production crews operating in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Ukraine and other complex environments.
